Wedding
Hi, everyone. Welcome to our wedding web site! If you arrived at this web page some how and do not yet have a wedding invitation, don't worry; we have sent invitations out, so yours may well be on its way to you now. On the other hand, you may not be on the list, in which case, we're very sorry. If its any consolation, it is a very small wedding with only a family and a tiny number of friends. If we were doing a bigger wedding we might have invited you. However, this is a world wide web after all, and you could be just about anybody. You could just be some random person from Denmark who typed in the words “municipal,” “oregano,” and “ectropy” into a search engine and then this page popped up because it has those words in this sentence. We're confident that Denmark is a very nice country and all, but we just don't know anyone from there, so I am afraid you will not be asked to attend the wedding. Also, sorry for luring you here with those keywords which really have virtually nothing to do with the content of this page, and good luck with the remainder of your web searching.
Those of you who are still with us would presumably like to know a little about the wedding. It will be held on September 29, 2013 at 6pm in Tulsa, OK. The exact address will be on your wedding invitation. We'd put it up here too, but were a little concerned that the hypothetical Danish web searcher from the previous paragraph will show up too, and then we won't have enough cake for everybody. We have a really amazing wedding cake planned, so we want to make sure there is enough to go around.
Hotel
We've reserved a block of rooms at the Hampton Inn & Suites Tulsa at Woodland Hills (71st and Memorial) for out of town visitors. We will be staying there too. We've stayed at that hotel a few times, and we have always been very happy with it. The place looks great, and they have nice, big rooms; the internet is reliable and does not require an additional charge; they have an excellent breakfast buffet (also no additional charge); and they also have tea, coffee, and occassionally cookies in the lobby throughout the day (also included). What more could you ask for in a Tulsa hotel? To book a room at this hotel at the special Prinsloo/Murdock wedding group rate, click on this link, or call them and give them our group code, PMW. a local hotel.
Gifts
We are asking people to please not give us any wedding gifts, because we already have an excess of stuff and a shortage of places to put all that stuff. We're hoping to put some of our existing stuff up for sale on eBay some day. Or maybe we'll just donate it to a worthy cause. There must be some of this stuff that some worthy cause would want. Maybe we'll just take it all down to the recycling center. The thing is we're really busy and all, and we just haven't gotten around to it. Anyway, my point here is that when we do get that all cleared out of the way, we'd like to actually get all that space back instead of having wedding presents filling it all up. I know lots of people like buying other people wedding presents. We do too, so we feel a little bad about having everyone miss out on the wedding present experience. Not so bad that we are going to back down on this one though. We bet that most of you would have gotten us a really good present too. Nearly, all of you, in fact. Look, we're not going to name names or anything here, and anyway most of you already know who Bill's youngest sibling is.
For those of you with wedding gift money allocated that you really, really need to spend, we have set up a charitable donation registry at this link. However, it is really not necessary. Or even recommended. It is just there for people who have an excess of cultural conditioning relating to weddings and presents. Really what we recommend is that you just relax and attend (assuming you are invited -- if not, again, sorry, and all the more reason not to send a gift). The charities we are registered for are all good causes, so feel free to donate if you would like, even if you just came to this page hoping to discover how the Copenhagen city government can provide pizza seasoning in an increasingly organized manner (as noted above, this page has no useful insights regarding that conundrum).
